Have a question?

Can I buy tickets on the day?

Yes! If you are coming in for a general visit, buy your tickets at the reception when you arrive. For group bookings of 10 or more people, get in touch via the booking form (found on the Programmes page, under the ‘Visit’ tab).

Is there parking at the Centre?

There is one disability carpark and a drop-off zone in front of the Centre. Otherwise, please make sure to park in the DOC carpark and get your steps in by talking a 5-minute scenic walk to get to the Centre. Please do not park your car in the University carpark as it will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Can I book for the Glass Bottom boat?

We love getting in the ocean, but we do not take people out on the Glass Bottom boat as it is a separate company to us. Please reach out to our mates at glassbottomboat.co.nz for further information, bookings and sailing times.

Can I hire snorkel gear or clear kayaks?

Snorkel gear and kayak hire can be done through our mates at Goat Island Dive and Snorkel. We do not have any gear at the Centre and there is poor phone reception/no wifi. For further information, make sure to email: goatislanddive.co.nz

Is there any food or drinks available at the Centre?

We have a selection of ice creams, ice blocks, and various organic and locally sourced drinks available for purchase. We do not sell coffee, tea or hot foods but recommend Leigh Eats down in the town centre (5-minute drive) for all your kai cravings.

Are there bathroom facilities at the Centre?

Yes, we have bathroom facilities for our visitorsIf nature is calling and you are not a visitor, please use the DOC toilets in the carpark.
