Parking is available in the Department of Conservation (DOC) car parks above the main beach.  From there, it is an easy 250-metre (five-minute walk) up to the Discovery Centre.

1. At Wellsford, turn left onto Matheson Road (signs for Tomarata/Whangaripo Valley/Pakiri Beach)
2. Continue onto Whangaripo Valley Road
3. Turn left onto Pakiri Road
4. Turn left onto Goat Island Road
5. Park in the parking areas and follow the signs and path to the Goat Island Marine Discovery Centre!

2. At Warkworth, turn right onto Sandspit Road
3. Turn left onto Matakana Road
4. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Leigh Road
5. Continue onto Hauraki Road
6. Turn left onto Seatoun Avenue
7. Turn left onto Pakiri Road
8. Take the second right onto Goat Island Road
9. Park in the parking areas and follow the signs and path to the Goat Island Marine Discovery Centre!
